友沢 こたおKotao Tomozawa

Born in Bordeaux, France, and raised in Tokyo, she completed her graduate studies at Tokyo University of the Arts. Her slime series renders slime covering faces and bodies with striking realism, down to its texture, translucency and reflected light. Many works begin with self-portraits, combining an almost tangible rawness with a cool beauty. Awarded several prizes while still a student, she is one of the fastest-rising young artists in Japan.
